have tried to succeed.”
OWNERS
Robert and Morgan Dunlap
We are Robert + Morgan Dunlap. We both were born and raised in Oklahoma, been together since high school and have been Texans for almost 8 years. We have three young children that are our driving force on this venture. With school on the horizon for our son, we knew we wanted something different. Our mission is for our children to know who they are, Whose they are and to think critically. There’s nothing more important than the future generation and raising strong leaders. We partnered with Apogee Strong because we believe each child has a unique, inherent genius and we just need to help unlock it. Keller is home for us and we couldn’t think of a better place to bring Apogee to and see the impact it has on the young learners and their families. We can’t wait to meet you!
Head of School
Emily Dlugonski
I am Emily Dlugonski, an Oklahoma native turned Texan, embracing this new chapter of life with excitement, gratitude, and a sense of adventure. I am a business owner with my husband, a lover of baking, and enjoy living life as naturally and holistically as possible. I believe that in nurturing the whole self, we cultivate balance, joy, and resilience—I strive to live by these principles daily.
Working closely with children has always been my calling, especially in the formative early years, where curiosity and imagination lay the groundwork for a lifetime of learning. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, I am dedicated to guiding children in a way that honors who they are and supports who they are meant to become. It’s my passion to create an environment where children feel seen, supported, and encouraged to explore their unique gifts. My aim is to provide not just knowledge but also the tools and confidence they need to navigate their world with kindness, courage, and curiosity.
Adventure Coach
Rebecca Atkins
My name is Rebecca, I am a mother of 5 children between the ages of 3 and 17 and am an outdoor/nature/simple life enthusiast. I have spent the last 12 years homeschooling my children while traveling the world, residing in multiple countries and visiting countless others, living as much as possible naturally and in nature, growing and developing our minds through handcraft and learning new skills, seeking experience and adventure, and reading all the books.
I love educating my children + learning from them, moving to new places, reading books, doing everything outdoors, and learning new skills. As a family we hunt and harvest almost 100% of the meat we consume, run a small personal farm, grow and preserve what we can, and continuously find ourselves bringing home more dogs.
We are thrilled that you’re interested in joining our vibrant community of learners, educators, and families. At Apogee Keller, we believe that education is a shared journey—one that fosters curiosity, growth, and meaningful connections. We are excited at the opportunity to get to know you better!
The Apogee Keller Approach: A Transformative Learning Experience
At Apogee Keller, we believe education should be engaging, meaningful, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and interests. Our learning model is designed to empower students, cultivate curiosity, and prepare them for a lifetime of success—both academically and personally.
Education is most powerful when learners take an active role in shaping their journey. At Apogee Keller, students have the freedom to explore their interests, set personal goals, and take ownership of their learning path. This personalized approach fosters deeper engagement, motivation, and a lifelong love for learning.
Rather than memorizing answers, our learners ask big questions, think deeply, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Through the Socratic Method, coaches encourage students to analyze ideas, challenge assumptions, and articulate their thoughts with clarity. This approach builds critical thinking skills, confidence in communication, and a strong sense of curiosity.
Learning comes alive when students can create, experiment, and solve real-world problems. Through project-based learning, our learners work on dynamic, interdisciplinary projects that encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Each session explores different themes in immersive and engaging ways, ensuring students gain not just knowledge, but the ability to apply it.
In the real world, we don’t work in same-age groups, so why should learning be any different? Apogee Keller’s mixed-age learning model fosters
peer mentorship, leadership, and social development. Younger students learn from older peers, while older students reinforce their understanding by teaching and guiding others. This builds a strong, supportive learning community where everyone grows together.
Academics are just one part of a well-rounded education. We believe in equipping students with essential life skills such as:
- Conflict resolution & effective communication
- Goal setting & time management
- Leadership & entrepreneurship
- Financial literacy & personal responsibility
- Character development & resilience
These skills empower students to navigate life with confidence and purpose long after they leave the classroom.
Movement and physical health are integral to overall development. Our approach includes:
- Music & movement
- Yoga & mindfulness to promote focus and emotional regulation
- Health & fitness classes to build strength and endurance
- Sports & outdoor play to encourage teamwork and resilience
We recognize that physical well-being fuels cognitive growth , and we integrate movement in a way that supports each learner’s needs.
At Apogee Keller, we recognize that every child learns differently. That’s why our students move through core skills at their own pace—free from the constraints of traditional grade levels. Instead of being pushed ahead or held back, learners progress based on mastery, ensuring a strong foundation in each subject.
Although we don’t assign traditional grades, we actively monitor each child’s growth and provide regular updates to parents. This way, families stay informed about their child's strengths, progress, and areas for growth , creating a true partnership in learning.
At Apogee Keller, we go beyond textbooks and tests—we nurture independent thinkers, confident leaders, and lifelong learners ready to make a meaningful impact in the world.
