FAQ

WHAT AGES DO YOU ACCEPT?

We currently welcome children ages 4 to 13, providing a nurturing and engaging environment for their growth and education. Our program is designed to evolve alongside your child, with plans to add a new age group each year. This ensures that as your child advances, they can continue to benefit from our holistic and personalized approach to learning. Our ultimate goal is to support your child’s journey all the way through graduation, creating a consistent and inspiring educational experience that grows with them every step of the way.

ARE YOU PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME?

Starting next year, we are excited to offer multiple enrollment options to best fit the needs of our families. We will have full-time and part-time programs, as well as Enrichment Fridays, which provide an opportunity for students to engage in hands-on, creative learning experiences beyond the core curriculum. Whether you're looking for a comprehensive full-time education, a flexible part-time schedule, or an additional day of enrichment, we have options designed to support your child’s learning journey.

Our unique approach to scheduling revolves around "Sessions," which typically last 3 to 5 weeks. At the end of each session, we take a week off to allow children the chance to fully process and absorb what they’ve learned. This intentional break not only enhances retention but also gives families valuable time to connect, recharge, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

WHAT IS YOUR TUITION RATE?

At Apogee Keller, we view education as one of the most impactful investments you can make for your child’s future. Our tuition of $9,500 per year reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality, personalized education that nurtures academic excellence, character development, and a love for lifelong learning.

We understand the importance of making this investment accessible to families. To show our appreciation for those who serve, we offer a 5% discount for military personnel and first responders. Families with multiple children enrolled can also benefit from our sibling discount: 5% off tuition for the second child, 10% for the third, 15% for the fourth, and so on.

We believe this investment in your child’s education will yield lifelong rewards, preparing them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally as they grow.

HOW DO YOU PERSONALIZE LEARNING FOR EACH CHILD?

We assess each student’s strengths, interests, and learning style to tailor their educational experience. Our small class sizes allow for individualized attention and flexible pacing!

DO YOU HAVE AN OPTION FOR HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES?

Yes! We offer Enrichment Fridays, a program designed specifically for homeschool families who want to supplement their child’s education with hands-on, collaborative learning.

Enrichment Fridays provide a structured yet engaging environment where students participate in project-based learning, outdoor exploration, creative arts, STEM activities, and social-emotional development. It’s a great way for homeschoolers to connect with peers, experience group learning, and explore new interests in a supportive setting. For more details on Enrichment Fridays or to see if it’s a good fit for your family, feel free to reach out or schedule a visit!

WILL MY CHILD HAVE ACCESS TO WORK ABOVE THEIR GRADE LEVEL IF THEY ARE READY FOR IT?

Absolutely! At Apogee Keller, we empower students to advance at their own pace, ensuring they’re continually challenged and inspired. If your child masters a concept quickly, they won’t have to wait—they can seamlessly move on to more advanced material. Our coaches provide the support and encouragement needed to keep students engaged, motivated, and excited about learning every step of the way.

WHAT IS PROJECT-BASED LEARNING?

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a dynamic, hands-on approach to education where students actively explore real-world challenges and develop practical solutions. Instead of passively absorbing information, students engage in meaningful projects that encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

At Apogee Keller, PBL allows students to take ownership of their learning by working on projects that integrate multiple subjects and skills. Whether designing experiments, creating presentations, or building models, students develop a deeper understanding of concepts while gaining valuable life skills. This approach makes learning more engaging, relevant, and impactful, preparing students for success beyond the classroom.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN THEIR CHILD'S EDUCATION AT APOGEE KELLER?

At Apogee Keller, we view parents as essential partners in their child’s educational journey. Our approach to learning is designed to foster independence, curiosity, and personal growth, and parental involvement plays a crucial role in supporting this process.

Parents are encouraged to be actively engaged by:

- Providing a supportive home environment that nurtures their child’s love for learning.

- Communicating regularly with coaches to stay informed about their child’s progress and experiences.

- Encouraging curiosity and exploration by discussing projects, asking thoughtful questions, and helping connect learning to real-world experiences.

- Participating in community events, workshops, and showcases to celebrate student achievements and stay involved in school life.

While our learning model promotes student-led growth, we believe a strong partnership between home and school creates the best environment for success!

HOW DO YOU FOSTER SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?

We believe that academic success is just one piece of a well-rounded education. Social-emotional learning (SEL) and character development are woven into our daily experiences to help students grow into confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals.

We foster SEL and character development through:

- Project-Based Learning – Encouraging teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in real-world scenarios.

- Mentorship & Guidance – Our coaches model and reinforce emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.

- Community & Collaboration – Students work together, learning to navigate challenges, express empathy, and build meaningful relationships.

- Personal Responsibility & Growth Mindset – We encourage students to take ownership of their learning, set goals, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow.

- Mindfulness & Reflection – Daily check-ins and discussions help students recognize emotions, develop self-regulation skills, and cultivate gratitude.

By prioritizing emotional well-being alongside academics, we empower students with the confidence and character needed to thrive in school and beyond.

HOW DOES APOGEE KELLER PREPARE STUDENTS FOR A CAREER OR COLLEGE?

We focus on equipping students with the critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills needed for success in both a career or college. Rather than relying on rote memorization, we emphasize real-world learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

We prepare students by:

- Encouraging Self-Directed Learning – Students take ownership of their education, developing the discipline and motivation needed for success in higher education and beyond.

- Fostering Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving – Through project-based learning, students tackle real-world challenges, gaining practical skills that translate into any career path.

- Building Communication & Collaboration Skills – Teamwork, leadership, and public speaking are emphasized through group projects and presentations.

- Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset – Students learn to think creatively, take initiative, and adapt to new opportunities, whether pursuing college, starting a business, or entering the workforce.

By fostering a love for learning and real-world application of skills, Apogee Keller ensures students are well-prepared to thrive in whatever path they choose—college, entrepreneurship, or a fulfilling career.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE STUDENT PROGRESS WITHOUT TRADITIONAL GRADES?

True learning is about mastery, not memorization or letter grades. Instead of traditional grading systems, we use a variety of tools to assess student progress in a meaningful way.

How we measure growth:

- Mastery-Based Learning – Students advance once they demonstrate a deep understanding of concepts, rather than moving forward based on time spent in a subject.

- Portfolios & Project Showcases – Students compile work samples, presentations, and projects to reflect their learning journey and growth over time.

- Guided Reflections & Self-Assessments – Students set personal goals, track their progress, and develop self-awareness about their strengths and areas for improvement.

- One-on-One Feedback & Mentorship – Coaches provide regular, personalized feedback to help students refine their skills and knowledge.

- Skill Development Tracking – We assess students’ progress in key areas such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication.

By focusing on real learning, self-motivation, and skill development, we ensure students gain the knowledge and confidence to succeed beyond the classroom.
